Coordinates and provides instruction to new and tenured clinical/non-clinical staff related to orientation and ongoing competency assessments utilizing a variety of settings and methodologies.
Partners with Director of Nursing, administrators, and other clinical staff in determining skills assessed for competency based upon new education, clinical techniques/processes, etc.
Determines appropriate evaluation methods for each competency assessment.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates ongoing education to meet organizational needs.
Serves as a professional resource for internal and external customers.
Incorporates critical thinking skills, evidence-based practice, and quality into all educational activities.
Implements and monitors orientation program for all new employees according to policies, procedures, and Federal/State requirements.
Reviews Nursing Exception Report and compares it to the schedule and hall assignment.
Posts Daily Staffing Requirement per Federal and State Regulations.
Completes and maintains accurate working schedules in compliance with State Staffing Regulations and facility budget.
Participates and attends monthly QA meetings.
Attends and participates in daily morning meetings.
