Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to assigned departments to achieve organizational expectations/goals.
  • Develop, administer, and evaluate strategies and goals for Patient Care Services.
  • Assure meeting/exceeding of departmental goals and 5 Keys of Excellence.
  • Set direction in areas of responsibility with defined measures.
  • Provide strategic leadership for department(s) including long range planning.
  • Ensure clinical excellence evidenced by quality outcomes.
  • Establish priorities for patient experience and quality service.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customer groups to develop and implement services.
  • Utilize benchmark data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare, administer, manage, and oversee operating and capital budgets.
  • Collaborate with team members to maximize revenue and decrease expenses.
  • Approve payroll and manage accurate payment of employees.
  • Interview, select, hire, and retain employees.
  • Ensure orientation and training for employees.
  • Manage performance, promotions, and transfers of employees.
  • Execute recognition activities for high performers.
  • Lead professional growth and accountability in staff.
  • Develop support for LEAN methodology for performance improvement.
  • Hardwire accountability and expectations.
  • Implement communication mechanisms for effective engagement with staff and patients.
  • Assist with establishing patient care mechanisms for evaluation of care rendered.
  • Identify and implement best practices in patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians to establish nurse/physician relationships.
  • Manage departmental budget to maintain performance and satisfaction standards.
  • Perform compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
