Job Responsibilities
- Direct nursing service activities in the assigned care unit for the duration of one shift and/or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
- Provide professional nursing care for patients in assigned care unit.
- Support nursing leadership in the coordination of patient care.
- Assist in personnel management.
- Facilitate physician/interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Perform general administrative duties.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Preferred Skills
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Emergency or ICU nursing experience
Requirements
Experience: 2 years of related experience (1 year in an emergency or ICU nursing if in a free-standing emergency department)
Education: Associate's degree in Nursing
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Schedule:
- 3 shifts per week
