Job Responsibilities

Direct nursing service activities in the assigned care unit for the duration of one shift and/or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
Provide professional nursing care for patients in the assigned care unit.
Support nursing leadership in the coordination of patient care.
Management of personnel and physician/interdisciplinary collaboration.
Carry out general administrative duties.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Skills

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or comparable certification as appropriate for the age of patients
Emergency or ICU nursing experience

Requirements

Experience: Two (2) years of related experience required; one (1) year of emergency or ICU nursing experience required for free-standing emergency department (FSED) locations.

Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required.

License & Certification:

Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six (6) months from hire
