Job Responsibilities
- Provide Peri-Operative care for patients from pediatric to elderly.
- Perform general nursing duties and be competent in all OR procedures.
- Facilitate smooth and efficient room turnover and patient flow.
- Complete all paperwork and computer charting for accurate and timely documentation.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon.
- Facilitate communications between patient, surgeon, OR staff, and family.
- Evaluate patient’s progress and response to nursing interventions.
- Modify interventions and patient plan of care as appropriate.
- Follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- RN license in Alaska
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- At least one year of acute RN experience
Preferred Skills
- Surgical services experience
- CAPA certification
Requirements
Experience: At least one year of acute RN experience required.
Education:
License & Certification:
- Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse License
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification within 60 days of hire
