Job Responsibilities

Provide day to day leadership and mentoring to the clinic staff to proactively reduce barriers to access and improve patient experience.
Identify and correct staff and clinic flow or system issues.
Hold regular clinic meetings to promote staff engagement and improve clinic quality.
Act as an overall clinic leader to improve specialty & surgery clinic services.
Recruit, orient, and mentor staff while providing for professional growth in nursing and clinic staff.
Orient personnel on new policies, procedures, and equipment.
Address employee relations issues with the Specialty Director as needed.
Direct and supervise nursing and clinic staff in patient assessment, evaluation, and treatment.
Oversee annual competencies and maintenance of certifications and licenses for nursing and clinic staff.
Ensure daily clinic staffing is adequate.
Promote outstanding quality customer service through teamwork and communication.
Establish and maintain supplies for the clinic.
Recommend purchase of new or replacement equipment.
Maintain constant Joint Commission readiness and compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects.

Requirements

Experience: 5 years of varied clinical nurse experience including 1 year in ambulatory care; 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience in healthcare.

Education: Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.

License & Certification:

Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska or other State with ability to obtain Alaska license within 6 months.
Active BLS certification.
Clinical Competency and Manager Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years.
