Job Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within assigned shift.
- Support the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit.
- Provide managerial presence for all shifts.
- Manage clinical and non-clinical caregivers.
- Provide input to the director/manager for evaluation purposes related to performance.
- Ensure compliance to professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor compliance to policies, processes, and clinical priorities.
- Coach, mentor, and collaborate to deliver quality health care to patients.
- Interpret policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate.
- Maintain clinical competence and certifications.
- Participate in self-development and planned mentoring in collaboration with director/manager.
