Provide a wide variety of professional nursing services focusing on quality patient care consistent with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop, implement, and assess the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Engage in direct patient care including assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating work to members of the patient care team.
Provide education and consultation to patients, families, physicians, and other staff members.
Make decisions regarding patient care using judgment and critical thinking skills within the scope of practice.
Maintain continuous contact with physicians, patients, patient families, community agencies, patient care staff, and management.
Ensure accountability for the quality of care provided to patients and direct care education.
Seek resources at the unit/department level and delegate appropriate tasks.

Experience: Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required; 1 year of related work experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN degree preferred.
