Assist in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Set up and operate hemodialysis machines.
Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform cannulation.
Administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
Obtain necessary pre and post treatment vital signs and weight.
Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders.
Monitor patients’ responses to dialysis therapy and obtain vital signs prior to reinfusion.
Ensure the discontinuation of treatment is performed according to established procedures.
Document patient treatment accurately and timely.
Report any significant changes in patient condition to the registered nurse or supervisor.
Assist in training of direct patient care staff.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform infection control audits and reinforce education of patients and families.
Liaison with FKC staff to provide optimal patient experience.

Experience: Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility preferred.

Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
