Job Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to a defined group of patients, adhering to ambulatory Nursing Care Standards and the Nursing Code of Ethics.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Health Care services for the patient within the Health Care delivery system.
  • Provide and coordinate nursing care in collaboration with the Health Care team.
  • Use the nursing process to conduct ongoing assessments of nursing care needs.
  • Develop a written plan of care based on nursing diagnosis and patient needs.
  • Assist patients and families in developing health care goals as part of the individualized plan of care.
  • Determine priorities of patient care based on essential needs and resources available.
  • Provide nursing interventions safely and competently.
  • Offer information to patients and families prior to interventions.
  • Provide telephone consultations to patients and families.
  • Evaluate patients' response to care and modify the individual plan in collaboration with the health care team.
  • Communicate effectively with specific age populations served.
  • Assess needs of designated patients requiring hospitalization and initiate nursing admission database.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Identify educational needs during nursing assessment and develop educational components accordingly.
  • Provide teaching and counseling that aligns with patients' and families' learning needs.
  • Encourage patient compliance with therapeutic and medical regimens.
  • Adhere to documentation, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and staff orientation activities.
  • Assure quality of care through the development and evaluation of professional nursing standards.

Requirements

Experience: Nursing experience within the last five years

Education: Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program

License & Certification:

  • Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire
  • Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
  • Basic Life Support required at hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support required at hire
