Job Responsibilities
- Accept responsibility for all department functions in support of the mission, vision, values and facility goals.
- Accept responsibility for critical thinking decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
- Ensure patient safety of the Postpartum and Newborn Nursery practice environments.
- Integrate the management of information and effective communication skills in daily practice.
- Build partnerships with patients and significant others.
- Support continuity and coordination of care across settings.
- Maintain high quality age and development-specific care for infant to adult populations.
- Create Women’s Health specific initiatives and process improvements.
- Integrate collaborative practice and working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
- Manage multiple levels of personnel, including supervisory positions, payroll, budget, capital, business plan, and physician relationships.
- Organize and supervise human and material resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years management experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
License & Certification:
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider card
- NRP certification required
