Job Responsibilities
- Provide high interaction with patients and new hire clinicians during hospice visits.
- Facilitate the learning experience for preceptees to allow them to perform competently in their required responsibilities.
- Mentor, coach, and role model correct behaviors for new nurses.
- Perform patient home visits in accordance with physicians' orders.
- Orient new nurses (preceptees) on hospice clinical policies and procedures, documentation, technology, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- 2+ years of nursing experience in hospice and/or home health
- RN license in the state of requested employment
- Compassionate, kind, and empathetic to patients and their families
- Comfortable providing care in various home environments
- Demonstrate flexibility and composure in crisis situations
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Skills
- Experience in oncology, hospital Staff RN, Med Surg, PACU, Float pool, ER, critical care, acute care, cardiac, geriatric, admissions, wound care, telemetry, or travel nursing
Requirements
Experience: 2+ years of nursing experience in hospice and/or home health
Education:
License & Certification:
- RN license in the state of requested employment
