Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.
- Utilize systematic planning and timely communication with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Manage multiple patient needs and aspects of care.
- Actively communicate with care team to plan patient care.
- Utilize available resources to problem-solve and determine effective actions.
- Implement the nursing process and critical thinking in patient care.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust care based on patient and family needs.
- Establish and maintain a therapeutic nurse-patient/family relationship.
- Serve as a resource for other staff in managing documentation issues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with all regulatory standards.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional certification required.
- Clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to coordinate patient care with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a clinical setting.
- Ability to mentor and precept new nurses.
- Knowledge of patient education techniques.
Requirements
Experience: 1 Year clinical experience (RNs with less than 12 months will complete new grad requirements).
Education: Graduate of nursing school.
License & Certification:
- California Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare)
Schedule:
- 12/36 - 12 Hour Shift
- Every Other Weekend
