Job Responsibilities
- Provide care, treatment, counseling, and health education to hospitalized patients.
- Plan and coordinate care across the continuum.
- Meet and exceed compliance with core measures.
- Contribute to the reduction in length of stay.
- Actively participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide outstanding customer service.
- Perform nursing history and physical assessments upon admission and on an ongoing basis.
- Collect and document patient data and complete history documentation.
- Assess safety of the patient care environment and document patient/family teaching needs.
- Develop individual patient care plans in conjunction with patients and their families.
- Identify short and long term goals, including discharge planning.
- Communicate the plan of care during shift reports and revise care plans as needed.
- Provide direct nursing care based on the plan of care and established priorities.
- Evaluate and document patient/family responses to interventions and revise the plan of care accordingly.
- Maintain customer service standards and interact professionally with patients and families.
- Participate in staff meetings and suggest improvements to enhance the work environment.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in acute care settings
- Charge or supervisory experience
- Specialty certification in related fields
Requirements
Experience: One year acute care RN experience; DOU Charge/Supervisory experience preferred.
Education: Required: Current California RN license, BLS and ACLS required.
License & Certification:
- Current California RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- Specialty certificate preferred
