Job Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of patient care functions as assigned under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
- Demonstrate performance consistent with the Medical Center Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
- Uphold policies and procedures, principles of responsibilities, and applicable laws.
- Utilize effective communication strategies and participate in problem identification and resolution.
- Prioritize work assignments to ensure completion of patient care activities.
- Report unusual findings to the Registered Nurse.
- Collect and provide timely information to aid in the revision of the plan of care.
- Ensure documentation is legible, dated, and reflects accurate data collection.
- Observe patient/family conditions and report sudden changes to the Registered Nurse.
- Transport patients, equipment, supplies, and specimens throughout the medical center.
- Practice customer service standards and respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and functional work environment.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting.
Education: State Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course or current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program.
License & Certification:
- Basic Life Support
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant may be required
