Position: Assists licensed nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Participate in updates to patient and family needs in relation to age-specific care.
- Perform safety needs tasks such as hourly rounds and participate in fall prevention programs.
- Provide personal hygiene assistance: oral/mouth care, bed baths, sitz baths, and peri-care.
- Manage comfort measures, including passing water pitchers and catheter care.
- Prepare patient meal trays and assist with feeding techniques.
- Transport patients to procedures and other units as directed by Primary Nurse and/or Charge RN.
- Apply patient equipment such as sequential compression devices and assist with vital sign monitoring.
- Collect specimens, including clean catch and sterile urine specimens.
- Document data collected and duties performed according to hospital policy.
- Communicate effectively with patients and RN regarding patient needs and abnormalities.

- Experience in acute care hospital or clinical outpatient setting
- Basic Life Support Certification
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of six (6) months as a Certified Nursing Assistant in relevant settings.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
License & Certification:
- Certified Nurse Assistant (California)
- Basic Life Support
