Job Responsibilities

Supervise the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, ensuring patient care workflows and departmental activities run smoothly and efficiently.
Develop and manage staff schedules, ensure adequate shift coverage, and respond promptly to staffing concerns or gaps.
Partner with the Director of Nursing to implement department policies, initiatives, and goals that promote operational excellence and high-quality patient outcomes.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of our Ambulatory Infusion Suites for compliance and regulations.
Promote effective communication and collaboration between nursing and key departments such as pharmacy, laboratory, and case management.
Act as a liaison to resolve operational issues, streamline workflows, and align clinical practices across teams.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, support protocol development, and ensure compliance with medication safety standards.
Plan and coordinate training and development programs for nursing staff.
Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues while supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that affect patient care, staff productivity, or department operations.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, staffing levels, incidents, and operational concerns.
Collaborate on quality improvement initiatives and help evaluate outcomes to enhance departmental performance and patient satisfaction.
Provide direct patient care in the Ambulatory Infusion Suite and/or Home Health settings as needed.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in both acute and home health care settings.

Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or related field.

License & Certification:

Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS

Schedule:

Occasional on-call duties
May require evening/weekend work
