Job Responsibilities

Promote professional development application of nursing clinical expertise in specified patient populations.
Serve as an expert clinician and clinical resource to staff, recognized as a mentor, developing staff from beginner to expert status.
Critically analyze care delivered in identified service areas against evidence-based practice standards to improve outcomes.
Be accountable for defined aspects of staff development, continuing education, and professional development of nursing staff.
Lead, facilitate, and/or participate in interprofessional quality initiatives, implementing evidence-based nursing practices and educational plans.

Requirements

Experience: 3 years of clinical RN (Registered Nurse) experience required

Education: Master’s Level Degree

License & Certification:

Multistate compact of Virginia RN license in good standing
Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
