Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
Assist in rectifying deficiencies in the work environment as requested.
Assume responsibility for and supervision of the appropriate care of medical equipment.
Provide pre-attending care for patients, performing comprehensive assessments of chief complaints and patient needs.
Document all nursing assessments in the patient’s medical record ensuring clarity and completeness.
Perform routine nursing duties, including phlebotomy, medication administration, measurement of vital signs, and preparation of lab specimens.
Demonstrate clinical competency in specialty-related procedures such as conscious sedation and chemotherapy administration.
Interpret test results and take appropriate remedial actions.
Communicate and collaborate with other clinical and administrative departments to coordinate appropriate patient care.
Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills.
Manage urgent and emergent medical situations according to protocols.
Serve as a resource for staff and physicians, maintaining alertness to patient care needs.
Comply with policies and procedures related to patient care, making recommendations for improvements.
Initiate and coordinate patient education, ensuring understanding and ability for return demonstrations.

Experience: 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment

Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing
