Job Responsibilities

Function independently to perform a broad range of medical services.
Conduct patient assessments and age-appropriate history and physical exams.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays relative to a patient's specific needs.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
Prescribe medication appropriately.
Conduct annual exams.
Perform minor procedures.
Educate patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices.
Document encounters in EMR.
Provide direction, coordination, and evaluation of patient care delivery.
Ensure that standards and care quality levels are consistently followed.
Follow all clinical safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Current Texas license and certification
Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program
Experience as an NP or PA in an outpatient clinic setting
Knowledge of current clinical practices and clinical standards in the clinic setting
Competent with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and EMR systems
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making

Preferred Skills

1-3 years related experience preferably in a Primary Care outpatient setting
Athena EMR experience

Requirements

Experience: Experience as an NP or PA in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.

Education: Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program

License & Certification:
