Job Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in a safe, organized manner.
- Document and initial the electronic health record for residents.
- Receive medication updates from Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.
- Administer, assist with, and observe medications and treatments for each resident.
- Ensure medications are passed according to times using a mobile medication cart.
- Report resident concerns and unavailable medications to the appropriate personnel.
- Restock medication cart after all medication passes.
- Assess residents for 'as needed' medication and document appropriately.
- Count narcotics with another Medication Care Manager each shift.
- Maintain and clean the Medication Room and medication carts.
- Attend daily Cross Over meetings and conduct Service and Health Updates as directed.
- Notify Resident Care Director of any resident and/or family concerns.
- Partner with community team to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Practice infection control techniques and utilize Personal Protective Equipment.
- Report any unsafe and hazardous conditions immediately.
- Participate as a member of a team and work toward team goals.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Licensed as an LPN or LVN
- Medication administration
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with seniors
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills

Experience: Previous experience working with seniors preferred
Education:

- LPN or LVN license
- CPR and First Aid certification
