Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to individualize holistic care.
Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients.
Provide care demonstrating knowledge of pregnancy, labor and birth with associated complications.
Demonstrate competency in peri-operative care.
Integrate various methods of patient care documentation.
Provide patient education and documentation of understanding.
Demonstrate competency in fetal monitoring.

2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
Experience in at least 2 of the following areas: L&D, Mother/Baby, High Risk OB/GYN, or ER

Experience: 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred

Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

License & Certification:

Current TN RN licensure
American Heart Association BLS certification
Current ACLS & PALS certification or within 6 months of hire
Current NRP certifications or within 6 months of hire
Current AWHONN fetal monitoring Certification or within 1 year of hire or Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (CEFM) after eligibility
