Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) and Trauma Medical Director (TMD) to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the Trauma Program performance improvement (PI) activities.
Conduct data collection, analysis, trending, and benchmarking of data outcomes.
Implement the Trauma Program Improvement Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Plan.
Monitor adherence to the Trauma Program clinical practices guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Demonstrate clinical competence and act as a clinical resource.
Assist in staff development.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 3-to-5 years of clinical nursing experience in the emergency or critical-care settings; Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a trauma process improvement coordinator role.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Public Health (Master of Science preferred)

License & Certification:

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses Certification (ATCN) within 12-months of hire
Trauma Outcomes Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) or within 12-months of hire
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), or Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) within 2-years of hire
