Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient-family centered care addressing potential and actual health and illness problems for patients and families.
- Guide and monitor work of paraprofessional and other team members as a primary member of a nursing care team.
- Integrate the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the Patients' Bill of Rights into nursing practice.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Knowledge of pathophysiology, common treatments, medications, complications, and prevention strategies.
- Knowledge of QSEN Competencies: Quality and Patient Safety Education core nursing competencies.
- Thorough knowledge of nursing process and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intravenous treatments, wound care, and medication administration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Ability to navigate electronic health records (EHR) and complete competency.
Requirements
Experience: 2 years' experience in acute clinical care, preferably in ICU.
Education: Graduation from accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor's preferred.
License & Certification:
- RN - Registered Nurse of California
- BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Schedule:
- Full-Time
- Every other weekend
