Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with inquiries by outside agencies during audits or reviews.
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure quality patient services and compliance of professional standards.
  • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Analyze and monitor performance data to determine trends to reduce costs and improve patient services.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, understand work processes, identify root causes of variation, develop feasible change options, implement changes, measure impact of improvements, and make recommendations for further enhancements.
  • Identify and assist in resolving areas of non-compliance, and facilitate improvement and integration of standards into work processes and systems.
  • Measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure improvement activities are documented and reported within the organization and externally as appropriate.
  • Review or evaluate the services of healthcare providers or facilities and charges for such services.
  • Apply and appropriately use performance enhancing tools in support of improvement processes.
  • Plan and organize quality control programs and activities.
  • Provide recommendations and reports to management concerning quality control programs and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience: Two (2) years of direct work experience preferred.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

License & Certification:

  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Arizona
