Manages day-to-day operations for single or multi-department.
Directs, supervises, orients/trains, and evaluates staff.
Enforces policies, procedures, and standards of operation.
Renders individualized comprehensive nursing care based on nursing process.
Establishes a mechanism to track customer service performance and takes corrective action.
Participates in the development of annual budgets reflecting appropriate expenditures.
Monitors budget variances and takes action to correct negative variances.
Assists with Kronos/payroll to assure accurate data entry.
Participates in the interview, selection, and orientation process for new team members.
Completes appropriate reports and takes measures in the event of unusual occurrences.
Responsible for containment of department costs and conservation of supplies.
Acts on ethical issues including clinical concerns and maintains confidentiality.
Evaluates department/service performance against targets and takes action as needed.
Provides leadership for continued survey readiness team.
Responsible for day-to-day staffing decisions based on patient needs.
Develops and posts staffing schedule within established guidelines.
Guides staff in advancing their education and leadership skills.
Coordinates completion of orientation competency checklist for new hires.
Manages employee performance through evaluation and coaching.
Conducts staff meetings as needed.

Experience: Three years relevant clinical nursing experience, with two years management/supervisory experience preferred.

Education: Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School or Bachelor Degree in Nursing; Master Degree preferred.
