Job Title: RN OR Lead FT Days
Position: Nurse responsible for circulating in the operating room and assisting physicians during surgical procedures
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: Sign on Bonus up to $12,500
Shift: 36 hours per week, on-call requirement

Job Responsibilities
- Prepares for surgical procedures by completing patient assessments and reviewing patient charts, diagnostics, and labs.
- Reports abnormal results to physicians and other appropriate caregivers.
- Reviews patient history, physical, and consent forms ensuring completion.
- Formulates and initiates a patient-specific plan of care based on medical plan.
- Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changes in patient needs.
- Provides care based on physician orders and complies with policies, procedures, and standards.
- Delegates appropriately and supervises nursing care by other licensed nurses and personnel.
- Promotes continuity of care by communicating the status of patients to other caregivers.
- Ensures all appropriate supplies and instruments are available and room is properly set up for surgery.
- Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and contacts biomedical staff as required.
- Documents surgical procedures in the patient record according to policy.
- Demonstrates aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure.
- Hosts or participates in OR turnover between cases.
- Participates in stocking, replenishing supplies and cleaning operating rooms.
- Participates in training and orientation of surgical staff and students as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: One year of operating room experience in the acute care setting
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing
License & Certification:
- Current, valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
