Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and service during surgical cases.
- Position and prep the patient for surgery.
- Circulate the surgical case.
- Help surgical patients through their inpatient stay.
- Provide basic care needs under the direction of an RN.
- Maintain scrupulous infection control standards.
- Work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Current Arizona Nursing License
- Current CPR and ACLS certification
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- Tactful communication with patients, families, physicians, and employees
- Knowledge of hospital operating room policies and procedures
- Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills
Preferred Skills
- Minimum of two (2) previous OR experience
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of two (2) previous OR experience preferred.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
License & Certification:
- Current Arizona Nursing License
- Current CPR certification
- ACLS certification
