Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel in one or more patient care units.
Verifies that patients' needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance.
Participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with other patient care units and related departments.
Directly responsible for directing all activities related to clinical supervision.
Monitors and evaluates the staffing and scheduling needs of the department.
Responsible for hiring, developing, and evaluating staff.
Demonstrates clinical and technical competence while independently demonstrating effective critical thinking skills for problem solving and priority setting.
Promotes an effective team environment and supports the mission, vision, values, and standards of service and quality care.
Responsible for quality, safety, patient experience, employee engagement, and financial outcomes of the department.
Exemplifies principles of leadership practices.
Promotes excellent customer service environment and acts as a proactive liaison for physicians, employees, patients, families, and guests.
Demonstrates effective communication skills, conflict management skills, human relationship competencies, and team building.

Experience: Five years relevant clinical nursing experience.

Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school

License & Certification:

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire.
PALS required or must obtain within six months of hire (for certain departments).
NRP required or must obtain within six months of hire (for certain departments).
