Job Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care as an RN within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas.
Adheres to institutional policies, procedures, and standards defined by UAMS, ANA, and specialty patient populations.
Collects and documents assessment data.
Develops a Plan of Care (POC) per standard and implements it including medical orders and interdisciplinary approaches.
Evaluates progress towards desired outcomes.
Provides effective patient/family education and discharge planning.
Administers medication per standard including drug information to patients and families.
Acts as a resource/support to others and assists internal and external stakeholders with exceptional customer service.
Delivers patient care according to defined nursing modality principles.
Delegates care based on UAMS standards, legal and regulatory requirements.
Contributes to a positive work environment conducive to clinical education.
Maintains strict confidentiality and demonstrates effective communication skills.
Interacts with the public in a professional and friendly manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 1 year Registered Nursing experience.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.

License & Certification:

Valid Arkansas RN License
