Job Responsibilities
- Provide patient care visits for home hospice patients.
- Assess medical needs of patients.
- Liaise with physicians to coordinate care.
- Attend to patients at the time of death.
- Handle triage calls and assist with the admission process.
- Deliver hospice care according to accepted standards of practice.
- Blend all hospice services into an integrated program of support.
- Fulfill RN On Call duties as needed.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Current unrestricted AR RN license
- BLS certification
- Strong assessment skills
- Critical thinking
- Problem solving within a healthcare facility
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering/emergencies
