Demonstrates integration of biopsychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice while providing care to clients.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components.
Coordinates care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction.
Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to influence care.
Practices within Outpatient and Specialty Mental Health programs, including Primary Care Mental Health Integration.
Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice.
Formulates a plan of care based on nursing assessments.
Delegates elements of care to the appropriate individual based on assessed needs and patient safety.
Attends and observes nurse-led psychoeducational groups, using therapeutic communication techniques.
Participates in warm hand-offs, interdisciplinary treatment teams, and responds to psychiatric emergencies.
Facilitates psycho-educational and support groups.
Works with Veterans in community-based programs and demonstrates customer service principles.

Experience: 1 year of specialized nursing experience

Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing

License & Certification:

Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse
