Manage the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care on a 24-hour basis.
Establish, implement, and maintain patient care and service standards.
Hold staff accountable for providing high-quality care in compliance with applicable standards.
Work with Nursing Leadership to develop strategic/business plans for integrated services.
Manage continuous improvement of clinical practices, services, and operations.
Develop and monitor departmental budgets.
Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve care.
Determine appropriate staff mix and develop processes for hiring, training, and competency maintenance.
Develop, implement, and monitor departmental policies and procedures.
Manage human resource and risk management issues.
Promote a culture of safety in organizational practice.
Participate in leadership committees and forums at the Medical Center, Regional, and National levels.

Experience: Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience, including three years of leadership experience.

Education: Academic degree in nursing required (bachelor's or master's degree).
