Provide nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice.
Perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned.
Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients.
Delegate activities/tasks to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters as appropriate.
Perform assignments according to the age and developmental level of patients served.

Demonstrates teamwork and communicates professionally with the healthcare team.
Ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures affecting patient care delivery.

Experience: Less than one year of related experience.

Education: Associate's Degree; BSN required within three years for new hires after June 14, 2017.

License & Certification:

Licensed to practice nursing in Florida or have a confirmation letter for eligibility.
BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required on the first day of employment.
ACLS required at hire or transfer for specific departments; within six months for others.
PALS required within six months for specific departments.
Crisis Prevention Institute training within ninety days, then annually for Psych Unit.
