Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Rural Family Practice

Position: Experienced Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $82.77/hr - $94.30/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population.
  • Administer quality patient care.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with medical staff.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, and manage ongoing medication.
  • Order lab and diagnostic tests, and interpret test results.
  • Educate patients and families about preventive care and medical issues.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
  • Document all evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments according to established standards.
  • Analyze new knowledge gained from training and assimilate it into clinical practice.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
  • Responsibility for ongoing educational growth

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Experience in wound care
  • Ability to provide advanced nursing knowledge related to hospice and adult medicine

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of five years clinical experience required.

Education: Must fulfill educational requirements to obtain ARNP license in state of practice.

License & Certification:

  • Nurse Practitioner - Alaska
  • Drug Enforcement Administration registration
  • Drivers License with proof of auto insurance
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred)

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
