Job Responsibilities

Complete thorough patient intakes, screenings, and assessments that incorporate the unique characteristics and needs of each patient and family member into the plan of care.
Triage referrals for acute needs to other members of the Cortica team.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team members to coordinate compendium of care for each patient.
Utilize the nursing process, scientific reasoning, and critical problem solving to practice within the scope of responsibilities as defined by the State Board of Nursing including placing orders and screening tests in accordance with approved protocol(s) and guidelines.
Provide ongoing education to families enrolled in our medical program on diverse topics including autism, sleep, pill-swallowing, sexuality, navigating the school system, and more.
Provide nutrition evaluation and dietary support in concert with our speech and occupational therapy team.
Work with cognitive and behavioral child neurologists and pediatricians to provide ongoing care for attention, sleep, headaches, and challenging behavior, medication management, as well as medical follow-ups.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Knowledgeable regarding diagnoses and therapies for conditions such as Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Speech and Language delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Insomnia, Epilepsy.
Minimum of 12 months in pediatric practice in an outpatient setting.
Proficient in ADIR/ADOS diagnostic evaluation.
Proficient in telemedicine and technology (EMR, virtual wait rooms).
Current and unrestricted license and/or certification.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
