Reviews treatment, insurance, and financial responsibility with patients along with scheduling treatment.
Calls specialists to schedule patients who are being referred for treatment outside of the office.
Answers telephone calls.
Calls in PREMEDS for patients as needed.
Obtains all PREMED and Blood Thinner instructions from the patient’s appropriate physician and scans them into the patient record.
Creates alerts on the patient account.
Monitors the schedule and fills appointment openings using the ASAP or Unscheduled list.
Runs monthly Comprehensive Exams needed list and reaches out to patients to schedule.
Keeps the staff and doctors informed of any scheduling concerns.
Serves as backup for the Front Office Associate when needed.
Administers pre-authorization of insurance benefits.
Maintains patient confidentiality and secures electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA.
Inputs and phases treatment plans.
Presents treatment options with patients and schedules appointments.
Collects 20% down on large treatment cases and schedules treatment appointments.
Educates patients about different finance options such as Care Credit.
Cleans up and rejects old treatment plans.
Fills treatment openings from the ASAP or Unscheduled treatment lists via Dental Intel.
