Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and supervise assigned nursing staff on designated shift.
  • Provide program planning, development, review, and assessment of clinical and administrative activities.
  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise an assigned multidisciplinary team.
  • Assign direct report employees to work with clients based on client needs and individual team members' skills.
  • Provide recovery-focused services related to the safe administration of medical treatment as prescribed by the physician.
  • Demonstrate Telecare mission and values in interactions with stakeholders.
  • Exercise independent judgment to supervise staff members.
  • Assign staff to work with individual clients and direct staff in performance of their duties.
  • Train and coach staff and evaluate job performance.
  • Oversee disciplinary processes as needed for performance issues.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff members.
  • Provide direct nursing care and maintain therapeutic relationships with members served.
  • Collect data, develop, and implement care plans.
  • Transcribe physician orders accurately and administer medications and treatments.
  • Coordinate medication counting and reporting at shift changes.
  • Document the progress of members served towards their Recovery Plan goals.
  • Participate in community meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Assist with restraint of members served during aggressive behavior.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Ability to review and implement Recovery/Treatment plans.
  • Ability to administer oral and injectable medications.
  • Crisis de-escalation techniques.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with target population.
  • Understanding of psychiatric illness and treatments.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medication.

Requirements

Experience: Two (2) years of LVN/LPT/LPN experience; one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Education: Graduation from an accredited LVN or LPT program.

License & Certification:

  • Current LVN/LPT license
  • Current CPR/BLS certificate
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 60 days of employment.
