Position: Registered Nurse for Outpatient Observation Unit

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice.
- Administer medications as ordered for a specific group of patients and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects and contraindications.
- Initiate, regulate and manage IV therapy for a specific group of assigned patients.
- Assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities considering the complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
- Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
- Provide patient education and keep patients informed of their treatment plan.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Basic computer and hospital informatics skills
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada
- Current CPR certification from American Heart Association
Preferred Skills
- BSN preferred
- Specialty Certification (e.g., Chemotherapy, ACLS, PALS)
- Current acute clinical care experience
Requirements
Experience: Current acute clinical care experience preferred
Education: Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing
License & Certification:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada
- Current CPR certification from American Heart Association
