Job Responsibilities
- Facilitates, maintains, and coordinates the logistical aspects of assigned study protocols with other research staff.
- Provides direct nursing patient care including inpatient admission and discharge, diagnosis, administration of medications, and performance of clinical study-related tests.
- Monitors continual clinical assessment of study subjects under the direction of the principal investigator or supervising physician.
- Provides input into implementation of protocols including setting, systems issues, and changes.
- Presents information at weekly meetings in an organized fashion.
- Monitors budget for selected aspects of research studies.
- Attends and coordinates investigator's meetings, study initiation visits, and all other study-related visits.
- Arranges for procedures and necessary visits performed by external vendors for study conduct.
- Schedules and leads in-house protocol meetings to review study-related procedures.
- Schedules and coordinates all medical needs and coverage for protocol related procedures.
- Maintains and documents all study-related communication.
- Responsible for giving subject instructions for study participation and serving as the primary contact for subjects.
- Ensures completion of all protocol procedures as per study requirements.
- Obtains and documents all adverse event/serious adverse event data and reports as outlined by the study protocol.
- Assures quality and completeness of source documents for principal investigator review.
- Ensures accurate, complete, and timely data entry into CRFs using source documentation verification.
- Schedules, leads, and assists with all study-related visits on site.
- Supervises document retention, security, and destruction.
- Completes all necessary training for the position.
- Trains other study specific research staff in data collection and reporting.
- Maintains research files, designs forms as needed, and assists in preparation of material for submission to an IRB.
- Travels between hospital locations as required.
- Performs all other functions as related to this job and assigned.

Requirements
Experience: Two years’ experience in managing all aspects of clinical research trials.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
License & Certification:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse
