Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients, including medications and treatment.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Assist and represent the needs of patients to other providers.
- Administer medications, skin and wound care, and other essential patient care activities.
- Develop and modify nursing care plans; prepare required records and reports.
- Gather and assess patient information to meet nursing needs.
- Assist and consult with physicians during procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Provide oversight to telemetry systems and alert primary nurse of critical changes.
- Organize, supervise, and ensure the quality of care provided by co-workers.
- Promote a safe, healthful, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Implement patient care standards, infection control, and quality assurance criteria.
- Monitor patients for significant and critical changes, documenting care accordingly.
- Teach patients and families healthcare and disease prevention techniques.
- Prepare patients and/or areas for procedures and assist physicians.

Requirements
Experience: Six months as a Clinical Nurse I with AHS or one year of comparable full-time experience.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
License & Certification:
- Valid RN license in California
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- TNCC for Emergency Department
- Chemotherapy certification within one year
- ONS certification within one year (if applicable)
- CEN certification desirable for Emergency Department positions
- Public Health Nurse certification for certain positions
