Job Responsibilities
- Orient, instruct and supervise other nursing personnel.
- Evaluate each patient’s condition and care and develop overall care plans for patients, including rehab and restorative activities.
- Review and re-write care plan as directed.
- Order medications from facility pharmacy.
- Requisition diet orders and supplies.
- Perform emergency procedures such as Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Assist with the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing of the Nursing Services Department and related programs and activities.
- Facilitate the coordination of nursing services with other departments to maintain quality care for patients.
- Assist with the scheduling report of personnel.
- Make routine rounds and conduct tours with others.
- Review and determine the valid licensure and certification for the position held in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Inventory, identify and monitor the storage of equipment and supplies.
- Plan, develop and conduct in-service education for staff on related Nursing Services functions.
- Determine the staffing needs of the Nursing Services Department.
- Arrange for and oversee patient admissions, transfers and discharges.

Requirements
Experience: Two (2) years in supervision within a healthcare setting, with one (1) year in total patient care and care planning and six (6) months in geriatric and/or psychiatric nursing.
Education:
License & Certification:
- Current State of Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current CPR Certification
- Current State Driver’s license
- Current Auto liability Insurance according to Company Policy

- Position may require unscheduled overtime
