Job Responsibilities
- Assist CNO in formulating policies and procedures consistent with professional practice standards.
- Perform regular rounds on patients, families, employees, and physicians to enhance communication and oversee operations.
- Ensure continuous performance improvement initiatives are designed to improve the quality of care delivered.
- Follow up on patient complaints and occurrence reports thoroughly and timely.
- Identify system problems that contribute to errors and monitor corrective actions.
- Promote consistent positive patient interactions to advance patient service.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience.
- Foster a culture conducive to evidence-based practice and clinical research.
- Encourage independent thinking and problem-solving among staff.
- Provide leadership to nursing staff to increase engagement and ownership of goals.
- Collaborate with nursing educators to identify and address the learning needs of staff.
- Develop close working relationships with physician colleagues to set goals and improve patient care.
- Assist in planning new services that generate additional revenue.
- Assist CNO in developing and managing the nursing services budget.

Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of experience in a supervisory nursing role and direct leadership in a hospital or patient care environment.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field OR current enrollment in a Master's program or equivalent.
License & Certification:
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice or has an active compact license.
