Job Responsibilities
- Utilizes unique knowledge, skills, and competencies required in ambulatory care nursing practice to promote wellness and restore health.
- Assesses patients’ needs and develops individualized plans of care based on current ambulatory care nursing knowledge and evidence-based practices.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Assesses data reflective of the patient’s status to identify age-specific needs.
- Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and documents patient care, including assessment, education, medication administration, treatments, and patient safety.
- Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment.
- Prioritizes patient care in accordance with Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
- Practices effective problem identification and resolution.
- Delegates tasks to healthcare team members based on patient needs and team members’ capabilities.
- Communicates patient condition or unit concerns to health care team members.
- Maintains a safe and caring environment for patients and families.
- Integrates patient and family education throughout care delivery.
- Participates in Process Improvement activities as assigned.
- Maintains awareness of legal issues, patients’ rights, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies.

Requirements
Experience: 1 year experience
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing

- BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
