Job Responsibilities

Work with nursing leadership to direct nursing service activities in the assigned care unit for the duration of one shift and/or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
Provide professional nursing care for patients in the assigned care unit.
Support nursing leadership in the coordination of patient care.
Manage personnel and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Perform general administrative duties.

Requirements

Experience: Two (2) years of related experience; One (1) year of emergency or ICU nursing experience required for jobs in free-standing emergency department.

Education: Associate's degree in Nursing

License & Certification:

Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA within six (6) months from date of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA within six (6) months from date of hire may be required depending on unit.
