Job Responsibilities
- Manage urgent and primary care walk-ins and appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
- Oversee the average volume of 35 patients per 12-hour day.
- Perform minor office procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, toenail removal, and orthopedic splinting.
- Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annuals.
- Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- 2+ years of experience in providing patient care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Masters Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistance and appropriate state license
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, and blood borne pathogens
- Understanding of medical coding and billing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- ABMS Board certification in internal medicine and family practice
- Experience with occupational health practices including CME qualification and drug testing protocols
- Competent with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office as well as EMR applications
Requirements
Experience: 2+ years in providing patient care
Education: Masters Degree (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
License & Certification:
- State license
- ABMS Board certification preferred
