Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient-family centered care addressing potential and actual health and illness problems.
- Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient centered nursing care for assigned patients.
- Guide and monitor the work of paraprofessional and other team members.
- Integrate the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the Patients' Bill of Rights into nursing practice.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Knowledge of pathophysiology, common treatments, and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR)
- Intravenous treatments, wound care, and medication administration skills
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of QSEN Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of nursing process and surgical procedures
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Requirements
Experience: 2 years' experience in acute clinical care, preferably in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Education: Graduation from accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor's preferred
License & Certification:
- RN - Registered Nurse of California
- BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

- Variable schedule
- Every other Weekend
