Assess the needs and development of residents and implement comprehensive care plans accordingly.
Conduct resident rounds to assess and/or supervise nursing care, assess condition of residents and ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Assist in recruiting and selecting nursing employees appropriate to facility need and budgetary guidelines.
Work in establishing and facilitating effective employer/employee relations.
Maintain adequate staffing ratios and levels of preparation to meet the needs of patients/residents.
Complete follow-up investigations on incidents/accidents and provide, or arrange for follow-up education as indicated.
Work with interdisciplinary team members in developing a discharge plan for individual residents.
Participate in associate evaluations and administer disciplinary action as requested.
Follow up with pharmacy recommendations to assure response and implementation of order changes.

BSN / MSN degree
Three to five years progressive management experience in long-term, sub-acute or post-acute care settings

Experience: Three to five years progressive management experience in a long-term, sub-acute or post-acute care setting preferred.

Education: Preferred BSN / MSN degree.
