Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department on weekends.
Assist Director of Nursing in organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing nursing department programs and activities.
Develop and implement methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services.
Implement plans of action to correct deficiencies.
Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charts, etc.
Supervise resident care and conduct compliance rounds throughout the day to assure quality of care.
Make appropriate documentation.
Conduct tour and obtain essential information for possible admission.
Inform staff of new admissions, ensure rooms are ready, greet new admissions and escort them to their rooms.
Ensure equipment, medication, treatment, and other supplies are available.
Supervise Nursing Assistants, Charge Nurses, LPNs, and Med Tech if applicable.
Assist in counseling, evaluating, and terminating nursing services personnel with guidance from Administrator and Director of Nursing.
Ensure schedules and work assignments are implemented to ensure adequate staffing, including replacing call-ins.
Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other healthcare related facility in a position of responsibility
