Job Title: RN School Nurse
Position: Registered Nurse overseeing health and well-being of students
Job Type: Registry
Pay: $58 / hour
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 2:15 PM

Job Responsibilities
- Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services.
- Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school.
- Document each instance for medication administration.
- Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation of medication administration.
- Maintain security of school health supplies.
- Instruct students in health education.
- Correspond with parents and medical providers on the health needs of students.
- Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data.
- Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.
- Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP directed.
- Develop Individual Health Care plans for students with allergies.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Current/Active Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and subsequent treatment
- Knowledge of child growth and development
- Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws affecting school health services
Preferred Skills
- Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school and local health agencies
- Understanding of the school organization and community served
